The recurring and intermingling themes of my life center on my
love of animals and my love of beauty. The longest portion of my
professional life was spent as a veterinary technician, and my home
is alive with a menagerie of pets. And in recent times I have rekindled
the artistic roots of my youth and vigorously pursued drawing and
painting first as a pastime and now as a career. |
| I work in a variety of media and
on a variety of surfaces, but regardless of the particulars it is
here that most often my dual loves of animals and beauty come together.
I do Chinese brushwork on paper. I do acrylic pet portrait commissions
on river rocks. I employ the classical techniques of the masters
with oil on canvas. Or, walking away from convention, I mix the
styles and techniques of these various modes, mix it with my love
of the colors of the Impressionists, to yield unique artistic combinations.
I consider myself to be continuously evolving as an artist, so check
back here often, you never know what you will find.

I am a member of EBSQ,
the premier online artists' community, and am especially proud to
be a juried member of EBSQ, which contains many of EBSQ's finest
artists. I regularly enter many of EBSQ's monthly online shows,
and being part of that community has really challenged me and stretched
me as an artist.
